🎨 CULTURED magazine publishes 2025’s Young Artists list
Released annually, the list compiles 27 U.S. artists aged 35 and under, selected by a variety of editors, contributors, art dealers, and international collectors. Rarely confining themselves to one material or medium, these artists have truly earned their spots on the list. Some favorites include Alex Vernet, Hannah Taurins, and Asher Lifton.
🚇 Chanel’s NYC subway show feels redundant and aesthetically bankrupt
Contrasting with what many online are calling “the most cursed subway stop in NYC”, Chanel’s NYC show was staged on a pristine abandoned platform of the Bowery station. It is unclear how Chanel’s new collection (which itself is strong) plays into the subway theme, and the whole show feels tone-deaf and lazy. Like an intern saw Sofia Coppola’s 1994 “X-Girl show” or Tom Ford’s 2019 presentation, or more broadly just Chanel biting Demna.
🎥 Pick a Piece LEGO stop-motion podcast project announces its 3rd episode dropping, January 2025
An ambitious amalgamation of a podcast, stop-motion lego animation, and underground rap cameos, UK based multi media project Pick a Piece returns in January. With episode 2 featuring voice cameos from Fakemink, Jim Legacy, and Fimiguerrero, we are very excited to see what the project has in store.

‘What the World Eats’ is a photo series shot by Peter Menzel and Faith D’Aluisio that showcases the diets of families from around the globe.
The project documents households from over twenty countries, each photographed beside a week’s worth of their groceries.

Two decades later, its images feel even more relevant as conversations around climate change, food waste, and inequality grow louder.
