Born in Fukuoka, Japan, Eri Wakiyama moved to the United States as a child and later studied fashion design at Parsons School of Design in New York. She has produced illustration work for Alyx, Calvin Klein Platinum Label, Estée Lauder, Miu Miu, Sephora, and Supreme, and held her first solo show in 2019 at Procell in New York.
