Rare Frank Ocean remixes, White House close-ups, job opportunities, and more
Welcome To December 19th
Today’s Important Headlines
🎖️ The Jonathan Anderson Era at Dior has begun, and it’s amazing
Unsurprisingly, Jonathan Anderson’s Dior debut with the Pre-Fall 2026 collection is imaginative, clean, and distinct. Highlights include texturally rich tassel bags and medallion-style belts, alongside capes and a reimagining of the classic Book Tote carrying Dracula and Ulysses.
✴️ Unprecedentedly, Frank Ocean clears sample for two House remixes
Known for being notoriously difficult to clear samples from, but also being a big fan of electronic music, Frank Ocean clears two House tracks from Vintage Cultures and Rossi. Both songs are remixing “Lost” off of his 2012 debut Chanel Orange.
🫣 The Vanity Fair White House shoot is an ingenious portrait of American politics
With every pore, ingrown hair, vein, and blood vessel on full display, Christopher Anderson’s White House shoot for Vanity Fair puts the country’s leaders under a microscope. Anderson’s signature approach of extreme close-ups brings viewers closer (literally) to the people running our country than ever before. The result is a faceless institution made imperfectly human, and a piece of social anthropology that will not soon be forgotten.
👥 Versace’s new creative director is a minimalist?
On the heels of Prada’s recent acquisition of Versace, rumors swirl that Pieter Mulier may leave Alaïa for the Italian house, continuing 2025’s trend of chaotic creative-director shifts. While his pedigree at Raf Simons, Jil Sander, and Calvin Klein makes him a logical choice, his restrained minimalism clashes with Versace’s maximalist DNA. Keep an eye out for an aesthetic paradigm shift.
🏓 The Marty Supreme Premiere afterparty was a cultural melting pot
From Zohran and 2hollis to Julia Fox, The Dare, Anna Wintour, Kareem Rahama, and Chloë Sevigny, the Marty Supreme guest list was stacked, and brought unlikely worlds together. Politics, fashion, film, art, and music sharing a single room is a sign of our age’s cultural blurring, and a triumphant exhale at the end of Timothée Chalamet’s massive press tour.

Bird photographed from behind reveal layered feather structures that create pattern and color.
From the back, the arrangement of wing, covert, and tail feathers shows how birds manage airflow and controlled movement during flight.
In many species, blue coloration on the back is structural, produced by microscopic feather structures that scatter light rather than pigment. Images via ostdrossel.
