Doing what we do at Welcome demands a prodigious amount of screen time. The benefit of living this way is that you’re constantly discovering incredible things on the internet.

The volume of content streaming through feeds is such that it’s impossible to catch every gem. This is true of any given hour, let alone a month. But we thought it would be an interesting exercise, from both a taste-sharing and time capsule perspective, to curate some of the discoveries that stuck with us this month for our subscribers.

These monthly discoveries feature a little bit of everything, from music, to art, to clothes, to conspiracy theories. Some items are featured because we loved them, others because they prompted a strong reaction, others because we think they embody something apt about our current moment.

Whatever the reason for their inclusion, every item on this list caught our eye at some point in the month of February. We hope you find them interesting too.

Lady Cigarette by Can Sun

Chinese artist Can Sun’s latest work reinterprets what a cigarette could look like in its most aesthetic and feminine representation. The rolling paper is replaced by a coquette lace fabric, which wraps around the tobacco. This is just one of his cigarette pieces, with others including “Candy Cigarette”, “Diet Cigarette”, and this tangled mess of cigarettes fittingly titled “Can’t Escape”.

KISS by Elina Shevchenko

KISS is a series of double portraits for Office Magazine by Parisian photographer and art director Elina Shevchenko. The photos feature dozens of people kissing, some upside down, others pressed against glass, almost all with tongue. Sometimes, the tongue finds something other than the lover’s mouth, like their ear.

All Bark by Kamryn Tulare

Kamryn Tulare is a Seattle-based artist who works primarily with color pencils, acrylic paints, and gel pens. The work she has produced in the past couple of months is a maturation of her past style, dealing with new subject matter and displaying a refined handling of light. All Bark is our favorite work of hers to date.

Jelly Firkins by NINE FOLDS

Clothing brand NINE FOLDS has been creating “Jelly Firkins,” a series of translucent Birkin knockoffs that come in an array of colorful colors such as blueberry, strawberry, melon, and clear.

Music by Matt Proxy

Approved by famously stingy cosigners like Playboi Carti, fakemink, and JPEGMAFIA, this 19-year-old Minneapolis rapper is making some of the most exciting rap music of 2026. His music is versatile, with songs ranging from rage to tracks featuring eclectic indie samples, with “Snot” by Alex G being a crazy one, as well as rock-inspired beats. His latest song, ‘Close Ya Eyes!’ was new to us this month. Also check out: “Matt Proxy Cypher Verse,” “catfish,” “noPLANb,” and “natural selection.”

The Designer is Dead documentary

Spotlighting the career of the reclusive Miguel Adrover, The Designer is Dead premiered in Spain (where Adrover is from) several months ago, but just made its US debut this month at a premier hosted by the up-and-coming Myth Magazine. We were lucky enough to attend. The entire documentary will be available online sometime in the coming months.

@dollarchives DeviantArt curation

Doll Archives is a page managed by Lydia Mamalis where she curates artworks primarily discovered on DeviantArt. The grid is a distillation of crowd-sourced creativity, united by an overarching DIY aesthetic and refreshingly amateur approach to form.

Music by Swords2

Swords2 is making music in the vein of early Bladee and Gothboiclique’s music (specifically doves, Wicca Phase Springs Eternal) that meshes together influences from emo and trap music. His new project has features from Smokedope2016 and jackzebra.

Bonus shoutout to the music of another new band from Atlanta, with a nearly identical name Sword II, which makes really amazing indie rock.

New pieces from Jarod John Leonard

Jarod John Leonard is a new eponymous brand manufacturing high-end garments and accessories. Fakemink wore one of their belts in his Vogue shoot.

Gorillaz new animated short film dropping February 27th

Gorillaz’s new short film, The Mountain, The Moon Cave and The Sad God, is animated entirely by hand and continues to explore the ever-growing, expansive lore the band has been building since its inception. The animation is done through a meticulous technique called cel animation, where characters are illustrated frame by frame over hand-painted backgrounds. The short drops on February 27, accompanying the release of their new album, The Mountain. The project features notable contributions from Bizarrap, IDLES, and Yasiin Bey.
