John Galliano’s Met exhibit has been cancelled

A study from Perspectives on Psychological Science, which analyzed speaking patterns from more than 2,000 people, found that young people are speaking less and less with each passing year, showing an alarming 28% decline from 2005 to 2019. The study raises questions about the growing effects of phones, AI, and online communication on how we, as humans, fundamentally socialize.
George W. Bush just dropped a new series of 9/11 paintings
Former U.S. President George W. Bush has been painting for the past 14 years, reportedly taking up the hobby after reading Winston Churchill’s essay Painting as a Pastime. Now, he has created a series of 16 paintings titled “Remembering 9/11” to mark the 25th anniversary of the tragedy. The works are on view at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas through September 30.
Singapore is testing a 510kg pepperspraying robot to handle prison disturbances
The robot, named PROTECT (Prisons Robot To Eradicate Conflicts and Threats), is being tested at three Singapore prisons, primarily in exercise yards. It is equipped with AI-powered navigation, a 360-degree security camera, and verbal warnings to disperse. If a conflict escalates, the robot can deploy pepper spray before guards step in to intervene.
