Pooh Shiesty kidnapped Gucci Mane
Pooh Shiesty is accused of pointing an AK-47 at Gucci Mane and forcing him to sign a contract while his associate BIG30 blocked the exit. Prosecutors say nine people have been charged, and stolen jewelry surfaced on social media within hours. Authorities also allege Shiesty orchestrated the scheme while on house arrest, while he was barred from possessing weapons.
Takashi Murakami launches a new clothing line
After two years of development, Takashi Murakami is launching a new apparel brand with Yuta Hosokawa, founder of the upcycling label READYMADE. The collection, which drops in stores on April 4 and online on April 11, includes T-shirts, hoodies, belts, suspenders, and more. It was shot by Herbie Yamaguchi, known for capturing punk and new wave musicians as well as major artists and actors.
The stage for Ye’s LA show was insane
Designed by @ausssssssssssssssssss, Kanye West’s LA stage took the form of a massive spinning globe. The show, his first U.S. performance since 2021, filled SoFi Stadium with over 80,000 attendees. Online, many compared the design to Akira, a recurring reference point in Ye’s work, including the “Stronger” video.
A senior US government official swears he teleported to a Waffle House
Gregg Phillips, a senior figure in FEMA, the U.S. disaster response agency, is doubling down on claims that he experienced teleportation. Posting on Truth Social, he described the incident as both real and spiritually grounded, citing religious narratives to support his account. Phillips has a track record of promoting conspiracy theories, and was appointed during the Trump administration without Senate confirmation.
Dua Lipa is curating a literary festival
Dua Lipa is curating the London Literature Festival, which has previously been shaped by figures including Greta Gerwig, Margaret Atwood, and Tom Hanks. Known for her deep engagement with contemporary writing through her platform Service95, which includes a literary podcast, book club, and newsletter, Lipa is not as unexpected a pick as it might seem.
