Paris Fashion Week collection highlights

With this fashion week season cycle coming to an end next week, here’s are favorite collections from Paris Fashion Week so far: Matieres Fecales, Tom Ford, Bottega Veneta, Anrealage, Lora Piano, Saint Laurent, and Schiaparelli

Insane design concepts proposed for Rotterdam’s €240M climate landmark

Rotterdam is planning a €240M new climate landmark, and hosting an architectural competition to determine who gets the job. Five architecture studios have unveiled radically different visions for Shift Landmark, a new destination seeking to inspire climate action through architecture. Many of the proposals feature buildings wrapped in plants and moss, sweeping organic forms, and futuristic visions of a greener city. The project is planned to open in 2031.

Marc Jacobs commissioned viral sculptor to make him into an action figure

The sculptural collaboration with Unfollowing also includes three signature silhouettes, the Snapshot, Snapshot Shoulder Bag, and Tote. Unfollowing transformed them into miniature in-store art installations, which hang from the arms of a tiny, tattooed action figure version of Marc Jacobs.

This new hi-fi listening bar is inspired by ‘70s Japan audiophilia

A new space inside the Hollywood Palladium called Vinyl Room is turning concerts into a deeper listening experience. Designed by architect Fin Wijffels, the lounge is inspired by Japan’s 1970s audiophile bars, pairing high fidelity vinyl playback with curated records, layered acoustics, and a private bar. The Palladium has hosted legends from Frank Sinatra to Lady Gaga, and the new room extends that legacy into a space dedicated purely to listening.

The deep reference behind Acne Studios’ PFW pastel runway maze

Acne Studios staged its Fall/Winter 2026 show inside Paris’ Collège des Bernardins with a maze of pastel rooms designed by Jabez Bartlett. Viewers quickly compared the colorful interconnected spaces to Rem Koolhaas and AMO’s set for Prada FW21. The set was also a nod to Acne’s early years as a multidisciplinary creative collective–moving between fashion, design, publishing, and film–as the brand marks its 30th anniversary.

During World War II, Americans were encouraged to save leftover cooking grease for the war effort.

The collected fats were processed to extract glycerin, a key ingredient used to produce nitroglycerin for explosives like dynamite and other military ammunition. Government posters promoted the campaign to show how everyday kitchen waste could contribute to supplying materials needed on the front lines.
