Today’s Important Headlines
Sofia Coppola is making a Marc Jacobs documentary
Sofia Coppola has unveiled the trailer for Marc by Sofia, a documentary about Marc Jacobs produced by A24. The film traces Jacobs’s career from his tenure at Louis Vuitton to his Spring 2024 collection, while also exploring the decades-long friendship between the designer and Coppola.
Spotify made an urn that streams music
Spotify and Liquid Death have launched the “Eternal Playlist Urn,” a cremation urn with a built-in speaker that streams music, the kind of product that feels destined for future textbooks as a case study in late-stage capitalism. The urn is now available in the US and is being marketed as a way to play your favorite playlists “for all eternity.”
The reclusive Martin Margiela is personally staging a rare exhibition
Martin Margiela is opening a large-scale solo exhibition in Tokyo this April, personally curating and scenographing the show at Kudan House. The exhibition spans sculpture, painting, collage, assemblage, and video across the historic 1927 residence. Known for avoiding the spotlight during his time at Maison Margiela, the designer’s direct involvement is a very rare public gesture. Tickets are on sale now for the April 11–29, 2026 run.
Meta x Prada AI glasses?
There are growing rumors that Mark Zuckerberg is pushing to partner Meta Platforms with Prada as the company expands its AI-powered smart glasses. The speculation lands as Meta faces backlash over adding facial recognition to future devices, a feature critics say could put women at greater risk. For Prada, a brand long associated with and deeply rooted in feminist philosophies, the optics feel strange, and online reactions have framed the potential alignment as another example of major fashion houses drifting toward elite tech power rather than the public they claim to represent.
Milan Fashion Week highlights
With the Olympics and Milan Fashion week coming to an end, the city may finally be able to breathe again. Our favorite collections from the week include: Prada, Gucci, Emporio Armani, and Max Mara.

Between 2009 and 2010, Nigel Shafran photographed commuters descending escalators at London’s Paddington Station, documenting repeated moments of everyday travel from a fixed viewpoint.
The series focuses on ordinary movement and routine within a shared public space and was later included in his 2016 photobook ‘Dark Rooms.’
